I was not surprised to see that digital advertising has increased and that traditional advertising is in a steady decline. However, I was surprised to learn that the majority of internet use will be from a mobile device in 2020. These facts prove the importance of technology in the world today and the importance it will still hold in the future. It would be interesting to compare this video with one of similar content in just five years.

I could not agree with Mr. Robinson more, especially when he said, "If you're not prepared to be wrong you'll never come up with anything original and by the time they get to be adults most kids have lost that capacity. They have become frightened of being wrong." It is because of this that I frequently show students myself making mistakes. Yes, I make the mistakes on purpose but the kids don't know that. All they know is that the teacher made a mistake so it must be okay if I make a mistake too. I never want to discourage students from trying out their ideas no matter what they are.
Arthur Benjamin's formula for changing math education
After viewing this video, I have the same feelings about what the focus of mathematics should be. He makes a very good point when he says, "If all of the American citizens knew about probability and statistics we wouldn't be in the economic mess that we're in today." Mathematics does not have to be boring and non relatable. By teaching probability and statistics, students would easily be able to see the real world connection and the benefit of learning the material. Also, if the focus of mathematics was more on statistics it is likely that we would not see as much of an economic impact in the years to come.

I really enjoyed this video because it showed that everyone can have a interactive board in their room with just a few simple steps. The speaker made a great point when he said, "You get about eighty percent of the way there for about one percent of the cost." I really like that with this set up I would be able to have multiple students at the board working. Currently with SMARTboard, you can only have one person interacting with the board at a time. There are many times that I would like for students to "race" at the boards or work in pairs to solve problems. With SMARTboards you are limited to how many students can interact at once making lessons take longer. I am interested to see if SMARTboard creates an update to challenge the Wii multi touch board.

This video stood out to me because I am currently struggling with the idea of using music in my classroom. I would use it during transition times or while students were supposed to be quietly working. This video did help me become sure of the key components of the music I choose. When I do use music in my classroom, it is purposeful and intentional. I feel music can have a positive effect on class productivity when used in an appropriate manner.
